Our Team
D.CIPHER was birthed in 2015 through conversations and gatherings with our fellow musicians around the frustrations of being independent artists and that lack of infrastructure and support for musicians in Detroit. We organized our programming around those conversations and incorporated into an official Michigan nonprofit in 2018. Since then, we’ve organized over 200 activations. In 2022, we are now a 501c3 organization. OUR WORK WILL ALWAYS BE GRASSROOTS, STEADFAST AND GROUNDED IN THE SPIRIT OF COLLABORATION.

Dominique Campbell is a multi-hyphenate hip-hop recording artist, songwriter, performer, social entrepreneur, and cultural organizer from Detroit, Michigan with the mission, musical and otherwise, to impact and inspire lives in a meaningful way, and contribute positive vibrations and love in the world. She seamlessly blends the worlds of music, social enterprise, cultural organizing, and community engagement to push people and culture forward.

Wayne Ramocan
CO-FOUNDER & DIRECTOR OF MEDIA/PRODUCTION
Wayne "Juuni (Joo-Nee)" Ramocan is the rhythmist based in Detroit, MI who uses analog and digital instruments to create. The US State Department, Knight Foundation, Art Prize, & i-D have recognized Juuni for his craft. Beyond the music, he engineers radio programs for NPR, New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Harvard Business, Nike, and ESPN. Juuni holds membership with AIR Media and POC in Audio.

DIRECTOR OF ARTIST RELATIONS & PROGRAMMING
Sophiyah E. is a multi-sensory artist, producer and community organizer with a desire to raise awareness surrounding liberation and spiritual reverence. Influenced by various local and international artists genres her curations generate a cosmic blend she hopes will resonate and empower listeners. Sophiyah E. is the founder of Afro Moone, a Detroit-based wellness resource furnishing creative production services, sonic wellness, and accessible aids for healthy living.
